Sophia is a native of Jamaica. She is a graduate of Adelphi University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. Sophia is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida.

She has worked in a private practice as well as in agency settings, and schools. Sophia enjoys working in diverse community-focused organizations. She employs her professional training in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy to help hurting children, adolescents, individuals, couples, families, and groups to address their presenting issues and pains holistically and inclusively.

Sophia Rose-Lyn is the recipient of the All-Star Leadership Academy Award from the Mental Health Association in Broward. She is passionate about developing programs for displaced, high risk youths, who have little or no support system. Outside of therapeutic services, she enjoys serving others through mentorship, and is the founder of “She Emerge” Sister Circle. Sophia enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading inspirational books, and planning events.
