Rev. Dr. J. Mark Donnelly is serving as the Teaching Pastor of Shema Christ Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, in Margate, Florida on the Southern Florida District Church of the Nazarene since 1987 to recent. He also was the founding pastor of the fellowship in 1975 to 1979. He also has completed a thirty year career as an Air Force Chaplain (both active and reserve) and was retired out of United States Southern Command in Miami, Florida as Deputy Command Chaplain in 2002.

Pastor Mark is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee – holding undergraduate degrees in Religion and Philosophy; and holds has a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Ministerial Practices from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has experience as a youth pastor; as a senior pastor; and has served as a Base, Installation, Wing and Command Chaplain in the United States Air Force and has served on several on many multiple-staff churches. His pastoral experience includes small, medium and large churches. In forty-six years of pastoral ministry, he has only had one civilian church (Margate), with several opportunities to serve our military personnel in several areas of responsibility around the world (England, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and South America).

During his ministry Mark has served on numerous boards and councils within the District Church and military. His teaching profile has placed him as the Chairman and secretary of the Board of Ministerial Studies and on the Board of Ministry on the Southern Florida District. He has also served on the Board of Master’s Teachers Ministry for the Southeast Region. He is the Chairman and Chair of Practical Ministries Department of South Florida Bible and Theological Seminary in Deerfield Beach, and is an instructor at both South Florida Bible College and NIBS (Nazarene Institute for Biblical Studies) on the Southern Florida District Church of the Nazarene.
