Years Teaching: 10 years

Mrs. Christine Young was born in Colorado, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English Education and taught English and Special Education at the secondary and postsecondary level for 2 years. She then moved to California, and taught Special Education and English while pursuing her Master’s in Educational Leadership. Upon graduating in 2017, she received her Administrator’s License. Mrs. Young continued teaching at the secondary level, and was hired as a teacher for the Department of Defense in 2019. After teaching in Sicily, Italy, Christine Young was hired as an Assistant Principal in Misawa, Japan. In 2021, Christine and her husband, Tyler, welcomed their first daughter and moved back stateside, landing in Florida, for Christine to pursue her M.A.T in English. Upon graduation, Christine was hired at SFBC to continue her dream of teaching in higher education. In her freetime, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking her daughter to the beach and baby gym classes, and reading.
