Rams Earn First Historic Win
November 6, 2025 • Basketball
South Florida Bible College pulled off an impressive 67–63 home victory against URBE, bringing their record to 1–2 as they protected home court in what proved to be a thrilling back-and-forth contest. The team showed tremendous resilience, overcoming multiple scoring runs by their opponents to secure a hard-fought four-point win.
The game featured several momentum swings, with both teams trading leads throughout the first half. After South Florida Bible jumped out to an early 7–2 advantage, URBE responded with a 9-point scoring streak to take a 16–10 lead. However, the team bounced back brilliantly, with Kevin Joseph draining back-to-back three-pointers to help regain the lead at 18–16. South Florida Bible closed the first half strong, taking a 32–25 advantage into the break.
His clutch scoring, including multiple six-point personal runs, kept South Florida Bible ahead during crucial stretches. The team received excellent support from their balanced attack, with Head Coach Mike Jarvis calling on different players tonight. Quan Vickers contributed 10 points on solid 4-of-8 shooting while going perfect from the charity stripe, and Emmanuel Ige added 9 points with efficient 4-of-9 field goal shooting.
Despite URBE’s late-game surge that included a dangerous 10-point scoring run to cut the deficit to just three points at 66–63, South Florida maintained their composure down the stretch. Quan Vickers sealed the victory with a clutch free throw in the final moments, capping off a tremendous team effort that featured perfect shooting games from both Kevin Joseph (2-of-2 field goals, 2-of-2 three-pointers) and Dean Vital (2-of-2 field goals, 1-of-1 three-pointers), showcasing the team’s impressive depth and execution when it mattered most.
Head Coach Mike Jarvis and his coaching staff Billy Thompson and Pierre Wisken did a great job to get their first ever win in school history.
